The results of experimental researchings of effects of environmental pollutants upon organism in mining and industrial regions are presented.

These pollutants affect indirectly through mother's organism during embryogenesis upon lateral preference and functional features of white rats of first generation in postnatal period.

It has been established that the number of ambidexters and left-handers increased under the influence of contaminated environment. At the same time in both studying groups of animals the primary formation of left cerebral hemisphese activity takes place finishing in puberty period.

During embryogenesis the functional alterations in organism of offspring are noted, that manifests with life duration reducing in experimental extreme conditions, with antitoxic liver function and with reduction in swimming time of animals.
