ORIGINAL RESEARCHS THE MODERN PROBLEMS INTERNAL EXPOSURE DOSE UKRAINIAN POPULATION'S IN CORPORATION RADIONUCLIDES IN THE FOODSTUFFI.I. Karachov, L.S. Gronska, V.I. Datsenko Experience in the assessment of the radiation situation along the Ukrainian territories contaminated due to the Chernobyl NPP accident allows drawing a conclusion that the main dose-forming factor is an internal exposure developed as a result of radionuclide intake into the human organism by the food chain: "soil — plants — animals — foodstuff — man". The question of the radiological control of the foodstuff's quality as well as the radionuclides content regulation for the food ration are the high-performance instruments for the internal exposure dose regulation for all population's categories. The content of natural radionuclides in the foodstuff should be taken into consideration under the analysis of its radiation safety although the content of natural radionuclides in the foodstuff is not standardized in comparison with the natural radionuclides content in the drinking water. In view of the new approaches to the radiation protection ideology and dynamic changes in the radiation contamination due to the Chernobyl NPP accident the current hygienic regulations should be revised. In particular the permissible contamination levels of both the separate foodstuff and the special group of foodstuffs. |
