ANTITERATOGENIC EFFECT OF FOLIC ACID AND ITS ROLE IN PREVENTION OF MALIGNANT TUMORS AND CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES

Data on the preventive effect of folic acid (FA) on the congenital defects of the neural tube, congenital and conceived diseases of the cardiovascular system are generalized and a role of folic acid in the beginning of malignant tumors are demonstrated in the article. Data on the possibility of vitamin supplementation and fortification for the prevention of these diseases are shown.
