TREATMENT-PROPHYLACTIC PRODUCTS FROM EXTRACTIONS OF HERBALS AND BARLEY MALT

Two new treatment-prophylactic products from extractions of phytocompositions and barley malt were developed: vitamins-containing one and one for respiratory tract treatment. Medical-biological evaluation of the products (determination of the chemical composition, microbiological, toxicological and morphological studies, on which rats in acute and chronic experiments) has allowed us to conclude that the developed intensive method of aqueous-alcoholic extracting affords total removal of bioactive substances from a vegetable raw material. The above products exert no negative effect on the animal's organism. Moreover, the morphological studies have revealed the activation of immunocompetent cells of lymphatic tissue of stomach wall and intestines, macrophags of the rat livers, that were under the chronic experiments and were treated with vitamin-containing product. The addition of product to the treatment scheme of the weakend children, which suffer from frequent respiratory diseases, recurrent bronchitis, tracheobronchitis has shown their efficiency, which is supported by clinico-laboratory results. A complex of bioactive substances, which enter into the products, allows us to recommend the products not only as a source of vitamins, and a means for the improvement of respiratory tract's condition, but also as an addition to the basic therapy of other organs and system diseases.
