PRECLINICAL PHASE ATHEROSCLEROSIS IN CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS: THE ROLE OF NUTRIENT SUPPLEMENTS, PHARMACOLOGICAL INTERVENTIONS AND OTHER THERAPEUTIC STRATEGIES IN THE STRATIFICATION RISK FACTORS, IN CENTRAL DETERMINANT PROGRESSION THIS DISEASE

V.N. Zalessky, N.V. Velikaya

The long preclinical phase of atherosclerosis involves the interaction of genetic and environmental factors that modulate the progressive of disease from early life. Injury to the endothelial is a critical step in atherosclerosis process. Couvendivual and novel risk factors for coronary artery disease operate from early in life. Noninvasive methods, using mostly ultrasound and spiral computer tomography and magnetize resonance imaeging techniques, hare enables the assessment of early function and structural arterial disease progression even the first decade of life. These measures have been shown to be good surrogate maskers for atherosclerotic disease progression and future clinical cardiovascular events. Lifestyle and dietary modifications as well as pharmacological interventions have beneficial effects in prevention and restoration of the early arterial changes.
